Choice Home Warranty's plans cover HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as typical household appliances like dishwashers, built-in microwaves, ovens, ranges, stoves, and cooktops.
Coverage is extended to normal wear and tear of appliances and systems that are in proper working order before the policy begins. However, Choice Home Warranty won't cover items that stopped working prior to your policy taking effect.
The annual claims limit is $3,000 per contract item for access, diagnosis, and repair or replacement. Add-on items have lower contract limits, e.g. $500 per contract term for a well pump or limited roof leak, and $250 per contract term for a septic tank pumping.
Coverage comes into effect 30 days after Choice Home Warranty receives your payment. However, if you show proof of prior coverage from another provider, then CHW will automatically begin your coverage.
