The Home Service Club offers coverage for up to 47 systems and appliances. The Standard plan has coverage for 18 essential items, including HVAC systems, electrical system, plumbing system, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. The Comprehensive plan provides all of the above plus 13 additional items including alarm wiring, doorbell, ductwork, and hot water pump. An additional 16 items are available for purchase as add-ons.

The Home Service Club is a little different from other home warranty providers in that its two plans (Standard and Comprehensive) are both composed of a combination of systems and appliances. Unlike other providers, HSC does not offer a systems-only plan or appliances-only plan.

Prices for The Home Service Club are the same in all locations. The Standard plan is $6 cheaper per month when paying on an annual (13-month contract) basis while the Comprehensive Plan is $7 cheaper per month when paying on an annual (13-month contract) basis.
The service fee starts at $125, which is on the expensive side for a home warranty provider. When signing up, you can reduce the fee to $65 or $95 in exchange for agreeing to a higher monthly/annual fee.

The Home Service Club provides coverage for work performed by authorized in-network contractors. It has a network of 10,000+ contractors spread throughout the United States, so chances are there's a good contractor near to where you live.
You can request service 24/7 from your HSC online dashboard or by calling 800-601-1009. Once your claim is submitted, the HSC customer support team will assign a local contractor that specializes in the trade for which you need service (such as plumbing, electric, heating and cooling, etc). The assigned service contractor will contact you to schedule a convenient time for a service call to your home.
The Home Service Club's 3.9 Trustpilot rating points to mixed reviews from customers. While most users said they were satisfied by HSC's service, a notable amount complained of being rejected for legitimate service claims.
